"Ugh..." Weiss groaned. Grey may have kept her from colliding with something worse, but he didn't make for the best cushioning, either. Still, the shock seemed to have jarred her awake. Getting on her feet, she extended a hand to Grey, pulling him up. "Thank you for catching me."

The car they'd just escaped from was a burning wreck now; their opponent was nowhere to be seen. Roman lay on the floor, still out cold. They could feel the decrease in velocity, and the screeching brakes. That could only mean that one of them had gotten to the engine in time.

A couple of massive robots tumbled off the sides of the train, lurching forward from the sudden braking. Ruby shot forward, catching the edge of the roof with her scythe to avoid being flung right into the group ahead of her. Seconds later, she made her way up to them, soon followed by Yang. No sign of Oobleck or Zwei, though - they were probably still occupied with the train at the rear. By process of elimination, that left Ashe and Model A; they had to be at the front by now.

"...We're not slowing down fast enough!" Blake shouted over the noise. "We have to do something!"

Ruby pointed at the roof of the next car. "Weiss, can you freeze us to the tracks and bring us to a stop?"

"Gladly!"

As a disgruntled Yang hopped up into the roof to see how much tunnel was left, her eyes widened. "We don't have a lot of time!"

Thrusting Myrtenaster into the floor, ice spread out from the point of contact, quickly extending to the wheels and track, soon encompassing each and every axle and grinding things to a halt even faster.

The further-enhanced braking nearly threw them all forward again, but they were prepared for it this time, bracing for it.

Grey would have replied as he stood upright, but the screeching sound of metal on metal was far too deafening. Sparks were flying in such a multitude that they would have provided proper illumination in the tunnel by themselves. Most of the ice initially summoned by Weiss burst upon contact with the superheated wheels and track, but that changed quickly as the temperature plummeted drastically. The couplings between cars barely held together from the strain - it was clear they weren't designed to handle this intense of a stress load. The sudden shift in momentum once more caught Ashe off guard, however, this time causing the Mega Man to face-plant onto the ground in a rough manner. Groaning from the newest source of pain, the Mega Man only managed to look up just in time before the engine made contact with the end of the tunnel, crashing through the wall with the force of a thousand pounds of explosives.

As if that weren't enough, the second train plowed through, detonating uninhibited. The ground shook with the force of the separate impacts. Rubble fell down all around them.



When they awoke moments later, all of them were sitting in a heap of rubble, their ears ringing and their vision blurry. It was bright, that much they could tell. Soon enough, though, things came into focus. The confused, frightened faces of townsfolk and city-dwellers, rows of shops, straight roads of concrete, and the sun overhead.

And black Grimm stalking out of the massive hole in the ground, chasing after the panicking citizens of Vale.

Groaning as she struggled to lift herself from the wreckage and debris of the impact, Ashe found herself merged out of her transformation into the ZX form, instead back in her base armor. Did the explosion really knock that much of Model A's stamina out? "Nngh... don't remember being this banged up after my last train ride..."

Her state of dizziness only lasted for so long, however, as focus and visual clarity came back to her. "More Grimm? Aw, come on! Can't a girl and her Biometal get a break?!" Injured though she was, Ashe managed to right herself and dash into the city after the ravenous monsters, both A-Busters sounding as she blasted each one she came across.

Meanwhile, further towards the rear of the rubble pile, Grey found himself buried beneath a large sheet of reinforced metal, which had ironically saved him from being crushed to death by the copious amount of stonework just above it. Panting from the additional pain he had piled on top of his previously acquired injuries, the Reploid weakly attempted to push some of the ruined material off to the side away, when a hand was thrust through a hole, offering help. Unable to quite make out just who the hand belonged to, he nevertheless feebly grasped the extended limb, hoping that they didn't yank him out too quickly.

"I found Grey! Help me pull him out!"

"I'll hold this up. Cover us for a sec, sis!"

The massive weight pinning him down was lessened for a moment as the hand began to tug Grey free of his entrapment.

"Could you hurry it up, Weiss? I can't hold this forever."

"Not everyone is as willing to just yank people out from under the rubble as you! Give me a minute here."

As Grey was slowly extricated from the mess, he began to hear the sirens. People were responding to the crisis, so it would hopefully be only a matter of time before reinforcements arrived. Weiss grabbed his shoulder once he was a little further out, getting a firmer grip and lessening the strain on the Reploid's arm. Yang stood nearby, holding up the sheet grunting with exertion.

Ruby was a short distance away, Crescent Rose out in its rifle configuration as she fired at any Grimm that looked like it might come close. As one of them leapt out of the tunnel at her, she spun around it, sweeping out of the way and catching it with the scythe as it switched to its normal shape, swinging it and hurling the monster at one of its kind before landing on her feet. "Grey! Are you okay?!"

Ahead, the square was in chaos. Thanks to Ashe's quick actions, people were able to safely evacuate, but the Grimm were still trying to pour out into the city. With two roads leading out, she could only cover one of them effectively.

Absolute chaos greeted the Reploid's senses as he was liberated from his prison, but between the rivulets of blood-like oil trailing down over his eyes, as well as the same stuff pooling in his mouth, it was hard to make out much of anything. Coughing violently and splattering some of the stuff on the ground by his feet, Grey attempted to speak but for the time being couldn't get words out past the fluids. Instead, he offered Ruby a nod in the affirmative, his hand still clutching the Ice Queen's hand for support. His other hand was gripping at his abdomen due to the pain however, making the reassuring gesture rather... hypocritical. "I'll be-" Another round of hacking up of what was equitable to blood, then he continued. "I'll be fine, just... go focus on helping the others..." Releasing Weiss' grip, he gently lowered himself to sit down, wincing at the additional pain the sensation caused. "Gonna rest up... for a bit..."

Meanwhile, by the eastern street out of the park, Ashe was holding off numerous Grimm that were attempting to bypass her. Lasers flew, lightning crackled and she herself was a blur of motion as she dodged, dashed and soared through the air, unable to grow lax for even a fraction of a second lest one of the monsters slipped past her. Landing back on her feet as a large wolf Grimm vanished into smoke from a chain lightning attack, Ashe's main Buster shrieked as it fired off another piercing laser shot. The attack bought her a moment to catch her breath, the Mega Man wiping her forehead as she panted, before gritting her teeth in a determined snarl. "C'mon you freaks! I ain't done yet, and you aren't touching one of these civilians!"

Bursting from the wreckage came a massive snake-like Grimm. Its scaly head glanced around before quickly determining that Ashe was the biggest obstacle right now. Barreling right at her, it aimed to plow right through the less-than-energetic Mega Man, clearing a path for its brethren to continue chasing down the humans.

Before it could get there, though, Ruby dashed up alongside it, giving it a serious gash with her scythe, raking across its head. It veered off, missing Ashe and taking a second to reorient itself before coming after her again. Its right eye was pretty messed up, so it had to be visually-impaired now.

Meanwhile, the ones that weren't trying to trample their way into the rest of the city were breaking off to confront Team RWBY's weakened members. With coordinated attacks and each one watching the others' backs, they showed no signs of succumbing to the onslaught, but they weren't even close to stymying the flow of darkness from the underground.

Noticing that Ashe with stuck fighting alone, Yang broke off from the rest of her team, dodging and weaving her way over to the stranded Mega Man. "It's tough with nobody to cover your back, right? Let me take anything that sneaks up!"

What is this, Ouroboros part two?! Model A exclaimed as the serpent charged their position. Ashe braced herself to dodge - something told her she'd only have one shot at avoiding this assailant's attack - but like a crimson streak Ruby was on the case, wounding her would-be opponent something fierce. Sighing with relief, she nevertheless pivoted out of the beast's reach, her primary A-Buster charged. With a glower on her face, Ashe released her own counterattack, the laser piercing the beast's good eye and exiting out its skull, causing what armor it possessed to clatter to the ground in a dramatic fashion. Daring to assume that Ruby had her back for at least a few seconds, Ashe took a moment to breathe, hands on both knees. "Whew... been a while since we've gotten into a brawl this thick, eh Model A?"

The normal snarky tone in the Biometal's voice was gone, replaced with a mix of determination and concern. I'll say, and in that fight we had two other Mega Men backing us up! Just as Ashe turned back around to face the oncoming horde anew, Yang blasted her way through to join the Mega Man, sparking a bit of a morale boost within Ashe. "Damn straight, sister. Time to knock some heads!"

Back towards the rubble, Grey had decided to take refuge behind a more or less sturdy looking piece of stoneware. Keeping himself as alert as possible, a difficult task given his condition, the Reploid drew his Buster Pistol and held it close. So far, the Grimm hadn't shown any interest in - or knowledge of - his existence, but that could change at any moment. The members of Team RWBY, as well as Ashe, needed to keep their focus and pressure on the ones swarming into the city. The last thing they needed was to split their attention between that and himself.

While all the civilians in the area seemed to have evacuated, the area was crawling with Grimm; more arrived from the tunnel, and some even flying over the walls to join their earthbound brethren. It was too much for the team, who had been up all night with only a few hours of rest, and just worked their way through an entire subway system full of criminals and terrorists. And that was before that nightmare of a train ride.

They showed no signs of losing out, but Team RWBY was eventually going to be overrun if nothing changed. And with only Ashe and Yang holding the line against the ones stampeding into the city, they were barely containing the damage.

From the rubble, something big shot out at Yang and Ashe, giving them little time to respond. It was another of those massive snakes, but this one was white, the inverse of the one they defeated before. This was a King Taijitu, a two-headed serpent, and they’d only taken down half of it.

Yang tackled the creature and diverted it enough to keep it off of Ashe, but ended up flying into a nearby wall, where she was attacked by a group of smaller Nevermores.

In the distance, there was a sound like a cannon firing. Seconds later, something crashed into the snake’s head, knocking it silly and sending the monster reeling. The blurry figure’s momentum canceled out; it was a girl about their age with red hair and a big hammer. She just laughed and jumped back into the fray without noticing Ashe.

The sound of blades whirring announced the arrival of a small airship, from which three more people jumped into the square, weapons ready. Some guy who looked like a Chinese prince, a young woman with red hair and the look of a gladiator, and a blonde teen in a hoodie with armor strapped over it.

As these newcomers went to work, one of them waved to Ruby; they appeared to know each other. Unlike the A-Team and RWBY, they seemed pretty rested and combat-ready. Having some fresh allies seemed to reinvigorate the team.

One of them shouted over the fighting. “We heard the sirens when we were heading out on our assignment! Pyrrha, you and I can cover that street, right!?”

The ship they came on turned and left after it was done dropping them off. Weiss waved and shouted, but they didn’t notice. She grunted in exasperation. “Grey, you can hold out a bit longer, can’t you?”

"Yang!" Now alone against the vengeful Taijitu, Ashe felt panic slowly begin to settle into her mind. Between her exhaustion, the seemingly unending streams of Grimm and Yang's preoccupation, the Mega Man was having a very difficult time envisioning just how she'd manage to scrape out of this one. "Dammit, dammit, dammit!" She half-shouted, lacking the strength to even raise her voice beyond that volume. Raising one Buster in the desperate hope of getting a lucky shot, she was interrupted by the explosive sound of... a cannon? Looking over to her right, the sight of a girl slightly younger than herself careening into her would-be demise elicited an extremely relieved sigh. Man, talk about getting a lucky break - we would've been snake dinner for sure! C'mon, lets go find Grey - I think these new wacko kids have this in the bag for now.

Watching just over the rubble as the reinforcements arrived, much to his relief, Grey nodded in response to Weiss' inquiry. "Yeah, I... I should be." His fingers tightened around the grip of his Buster, for what it was worth, although he dared not pop up to take a shot. He already felt on the verge of simply collapsing, and any sudden movements would no doubt push him farther towards that eventuality. Instead, the Reploid remained behind cover, half sitting on a ruined keystone that had buried itself halfway into the ground. Just... don't take too long, guys, he thought to himself. Don't think I can take much more of this...

The sound of heavy, sustained gunfire announced the arrival of air support. Support that came in the form of a massive battleship and a non-trivial fleet. Automatic weapons trained carefully on the Grimm below began to tear the creatures of darkness to shreds, thinning them out to the point that this seemed pretty manageable. With that done, hangar bay doors opened up far above, dropping hundreds of mechanical soldiers to earth.

Falling with an endless cacophony of clanging, these robots suppressed the Grimm with sheer numbers and firearms. One or two of them were easily torn apart, but combined they were enough to hold them back and even overwhelm the crowd of monsters. They had a sleek design, but their stiff, lifeless movements betrayed their lack of true AI.

A loud bark sounded from the hole as Zwei leapt out, without a care in the world. Professor Oobleck shot out of the tunnel, zipping past everything and scorching all the Grimm in his way as he caught up with a portly gentleman with some kind of rifle-axe who had just arrived as well.

Heavy metal blared from the speakers of another transport as it flew overhead, dropping another four-person team; they seemed to be Hunters, too. As more and more people showed up to the fight, things went from dire to merely tense. The Grimm weren't getting any further into the city, and no doubt there were already teams hunting down the ones that got past the others. And everyone present was kind of just tearing the Grimm apart. One of them somehow made an Ursa explode, while another was beating them down with her briefcase. And once the professor was reunited with his apparent colleague, they formed a nigh-unstoppable team of their own. And there was no sign of the robot soldiers running out. The only problem that remained at this point was the massive hole that kept letting in more creatures.

Ruby came over to where Grey was hidden. "Do you want to wait here until things calm down, or should we get you somewhere safe to rest right away? You seem really beat."

Grey watched in awe as the massive flying warship - where it had come from so suddenly? - and its escorts rained down hot lead onto the encroaching Grimm swarm, shredding them to pieces. Soon enough however, even the sound of their gunfire was drowned out entirely, muted by a veritable sea of clanking metal as a massive swarm of bipedal robots were dispatched to combat the invading monsters directly. "Wait, are those...?" Closer inspection wasn't possible from where he was, and given his limited angle of view into the city, Grey couldn't quite make out what exactly what they were, but those mechanical soldiers struck an eerie resemblance to the Galleon peons he had often encountered during the Game of Destiny. It seemed even here, machines were being used to wage war.

Allowing himself to breath a sigh of relief, Grey had a small start as Ruby popped over the rubble. At her question, he initially started to answer in the affirmative. The idea of rest was incredibly appealing right now. However, he briefly recalled Professor Oobleck's words from the previous night. "Why, General Ironwood might pass out if he heard about you! In fact-" His demeanor went from almost manic to stern instantly. "-for your privacy's sake, we should probably keep this under wraps." With this in mind, in spite of his agonizing injuries, Grey shook his head. And immediately regretted doing that, a hand going to his left temple as he groaned. "...I think we should wait, if just for a b-"

"GREY!" Dashing around the corner, the looking-worse-for-wear Ashe skidded around Ruby, a SubTank already in her hand. "Holy flying Pseudoroids Grey, how many baddies did you let punch you?!" Before the Reploid could protest, he found himself all but being force-fed the regenerative fluid, hacking violently once again as some of it went into his air circulation pump instead of the pipe to his bioreactor. However, in spite of the incredibly rushed delivery method, the nanites got to work, and Grey could feel a solid portion of the pain receding. Panting as he held his chest, still processing the speed with which that entire chain of events happened, Ashe gave a satisfied - if tired - sigh. "Man, am I glad I saved that last swig of this... stuff," she weakly finished, looking at the now empty Subtank in her hand. "...what do we even call this stuff, anyway?"

For cryin' out loud Inafune, why'd you have to make the tech of our world so dang vague?!

The noise persisted for a while as the battle went on, but it was very one-sided, and not in favor of the Grimm. Out from the direction of a towering building in the distance came a... schoolteacher. A lady with a riding crop and glasses, angrily stomping down the street. The creatures that attempted to attack her were swatted aside with quick motions, nothing solid ever appearing to make contact with them.

This schoolmarm marched right past the warriors, looking more frustrated by the destruction of the square than by the fighting going on around her. And with a wave of her riding crop - or maybe it was a wand? - the rubble began to pick itself up, floating in the air and rearranging itself.

As she worked on that, a few people came out of the tunnel, holding unconscious members of the White Fang. One of them had found a familiar crime lord in the mess. Ruby smiled as she noted that Roman Torchwick was going to wake up in a cell, with all likelihood.

With that done, the rubble neatly fell into place, sealing up the tunnel, almost looking like nothing had happened. It wasn't really back to normal, but nothing would be able to come through now, and it'd be easier to fix. From there, it wasn't long before the monsters were exterminated. A few teams worked with the robots to sweep the city, but the sirens had stopped. People were given the order to stay in their homes until they could be sure it was safe, but this invasion of Grimm was basically over. Everyone breathed a collective sigh.

Blake noticed Grey's distress first. "...Are you alright?"

"Well, he's in even worse condition than the rest of us, so..." Yang rolled her eyes.

"No, I mean you seem kind of- never mind."

"He'll be okay, Grey's toughed out worse than this," Ashe replied for her friend, hoisting him back to his feet with one of her arm's under his. The Reploid coughed and pounded his chest armor with a fist, hoping to force the offending substance out of his chest, before speaking up himself. "Y-yeah, but now's not the time, Ashe." Sighing, the female Mega Man nodded reluctantly. The bravado wasn't needed anymore - having survived worse or not, Grey was hurt. Badly. He'd need time to rest up and let himself heal, and the temptation to follow along with Ruby's suggestion was strong, but there remained one major issue from before. "You guys remember what Oobleck said, right? About me saying under wraps?" He took a nervous glance back over to the park, where most of the mechanical legion still resided. "...I don't wanna end up being a public scandal."

"Ohhh..." Ruby nodded. "Gotcha." Reaching to her lapels, she unpinned her hooded cape and took it off, handing it over to Grey. "Will that do for now?"

Blake cocked her head, looking Grey over. "Hm... it should cover the ears and those cables on your back. Everything else odd about you can be passed off easily enough. We'll say you're a Hunter from the outlands who's visiting for the festival. Nobody will suspect a thing."

"If you were able to fool everyone with a single ribbon, this should be plenty." Weiss said to her feline friend, smirking. "Still, we should talk to Headmaster Ozpin as soon as possible. This seems like his jurisdiction, and if anyone deserves to know about this, it's him."

Yang rolled her shoulders, groaning. "Yeah, but can we do that tomorrow? I just wanna sleep forever after all that..."

Weiss shrugged. "Well, no doubt he's going to be tied up with reports and meetings all day after this incident. It may be prudent to give him a little time. But in the meantime, where can we take them...?"

Ruby's eyes lit up with excitement. "Sleepover at the dorm!"

Shaking her head, Yang rubbed her temples. "Not enough beds. Think we can just book a hotel room?"

"The Vytal Festival is right around the corner, so it might be tough..." Blake said.

The solution certainly wasn't what Grey had in mind - if anything, he expected to simply try and remain outside the city until this event blew over. Taking the soft fabric from Ruby, he offered the Huntress a smile. "Thanks, Ruby." As he began to tie the cloak on properly, Ashe held her chin, pondering over their very limited options. "...honestly, I think its best if we just try our chances with the hotels around here. I don't think we've got much of another choice, and if this Headmaster of yours is as important as I think he is, it's gonna be really hard to keep Grey here under cover. That place of his is probably swarming with people right now!" Yeah, no kidding, Model A's voice piped in. If I were one of those folks, I'd wanna know what the heck caused such a massive break!

"You're right." Blake agreed, nodding. "C'mon, let's try to move quickly. I bet there are some places further from the festival grounds that'll have vacancies..."

Weiss tapped her chin, thinking. "...I'll cover the bill for one night, okay? Let me find an ATM and I'll catch up afterwards. If we pay in cash, the expense won't be directly listed in the Schnee family's bank records. I doubt any of them would care, but if we're going to be covert about this, it can't hurt to cover our trail a little."

Having successfully tied the cloak on proper, Grey pulled the hood over his head, taking a few moments to adjust the cover so it didn't completely cover his eyes. Model A snickered, clearly amused at the sight. Snrk, give him some teal hair and red eyes, and he'd be almost a dead ringer for Pandora with that look.

Unmerging with her Biometal, Ashe winced a touch. Without the protective armor of her merged form, she could feel the cool air on her wounds anew. It wasn't a pleasant feeling. Rolling her shoulders to get the blood flowing once again, she gave Weiss a thumbs up. "Sounds like a plan. Now c'mon gang, lets find ourselves someplace to get some rest. After all that, I'd say we've earned it twice over..."

Meanwhile, just outside of Area N...

It didn't take long for the two Mega Twins to push through Area M's twisting depths, eventually reaching the door marking the entrance into Area N. Standing guard outside was a unit of six members of the Guardians, sporting heavy combat gear of various specialties. As Vent and Aile approached, one of them - holding a rather hefty looking laser repeater - threw the twins a salute. "Commanders! We've secured the approach into the next Area, but something's... off about it. More so than usual, anyway." Vent's face was painted with concern, which remained upon his expression as he looked to his sister, before turning back to the Guardian. "Right. Regardless of that though, we've got to push on inside. Grey and Ashe are counting on us. Get your men ready - you'll be backing us up. We'll take point." Throwing another salute, the Guardian Commando captain returned to his squad, all of whom prepared their gear for entry.

"This area's definitely been disturbed, Aile. Look at how severely the cyberspace mesh is fluctuating." Just as Vent described, the normally calm digitalized sector of Area N was in turmoil. Plain surfaces were warping, folding in on themselves, only to reform and reverse their movements moments later. Walls were contorting, though not to an intense enough degree to bar their path forward, and even what Mavericks remained seemed to behave oddly, often firing upon nothing or even one another. Someone had agitated something powerful enough to bend the already-skewed reality of the entire area, and it seemed it had yet to calm down.

The further the twins pushed in, the more violent the twisting seemed to become, only ever diminishing in intensity as the duo made to walk by. It was as if, once more, the force they had fought down here so long ago was beckoning them to face it once again. You can feel it too, can't you? Model Z said, floating by Vent's side. Its eyes narrowed into glowing slits, as if glaring. It's waiting for us again. It knows we're here. Vent nodded, a resolute expression on his face. "Yeah... I just hope it wasn't the reason our friends disappeared on us." Taking a moment to steady himself, he gently grasped Model Z, holding it in front of himself. "...you ready, sis? This could get nasty real fast."

Holding Model X out in an identical pose, Aile nodded. "If we did it before, we can do it again. And this time, we're a whole lot stronger than before; maybe this Maverick will finally stay gone when we're done with him!"

His sister's optimism gave Vent cause to smile, and the two Mega Men both held their arms alongside one another's, Biometals held tightly.

"Model X!"

"Model Z!"

"Double Megamerge!"

In a flash of light, both twins transformed, donning brilliant red armor with long, cybernetic blonde ponytails to match. Twirling the ZX-Saber in his hand, Vent thumbed the activation button, causing the plasma blade to form with a surge of heat. "...right. Time to kick some Maverick butt. Captain, you and your team stay out here - make sure nothing gets in behind us."

The Guardian captain saluted. "Yes sir!" The team immediately set about scanning the area, preparing to hold off any Maverick that actually focused on them long enough to be a threat.

Switching her own saber into the ZX-Buster configuration, Aile smiled as she lined it up, aiming at one of the hovering crystals. She didn't take the shot, but she was satisfied to be using it again. "We won't have to worry about anything attacking from behind while they're on the job, so let's focus on blazing a path down to that Maverick."

And blaze a path they did. The remainder of Area N was short in comparison, and with the power of their Biometals, the twins blasted their way to the end of the corridor with ease. Opening up the door marked with the omega sigil, the duo calmly walked inside. There was no need to check corners or watch their backs - the only threat present was the same one they had sealed in here years ago. Nothing else would've have survived being locked up with it. Vent stood abreast from Aile, the two facing what seemed to be a dark, digitalized maelstrom in the center of the room. That Maverick was in there, raging and screaming in a truly intimidating display of anger. Something had provoked it, making it furious to the point of being unable to maintain physical cohesion.

Until it saw its tormentors return.

As its rage filled red eyes glared at the two from within the storm, Vent braced himself, fully expecting the Maverick to make a dash at them both. Instead, however, the thing vanished further into its own shroud, before the baneful haze began to rise. It grew in size and density, towering over its would-be assailants, eventually reaching a height well over a hundred feet tall. "What in the-?!" Vent took a step back, eyes wide with shock, as the cloud collapsed in on itself, solidifying into a gargantuan form. With glistening silver armor lined with purple accents, the Maverick's incredible new appearance dwarfed the Mega Men standing beneath it. One hand wielded a sword just as long as its owner was tall, and its forehead crackled with energy. "Something isn't right here, sis. Since when could it do that?!"

One of its massive hands crashed down between them, forcing the two Mega Men to dash out of the way. Opening fire on it as she moved, Ashe shouted back. "What are the odds we'll figure that out if we trash this thing?!"

The hand seemed overall unaffected by her shots. It wasn't that she wasn't doing any damage, but the thing was so gargantuan that she was barely roughing up the outermost casing. It looked like it'd take concentrated fire sustained on the same area for a while to make it even flinch.

Taking out its sword with its other hand, the titanic Maverick tightened its grip on its sword, taking aim at Aile while her attention was diverted.

Vent would have answered, but the duo needed to focus. This new form it possessed was powerful, regardless of where it managed to pull it from. The ground where the giant fist came crashing down was cracked and shattered, leaving no doubt in the Mega Man's mind as to just how strong this monster was.

"Aile, look out!" Vent, having watched the Maverick loose its sword from its back, made a dash-jump towards the monster. He brought his saber down in an arc towards its hand, but ended up getting backhanded for his efforts. The simple motion was enough to send him flying backward through the air, impacting a wall with a solid crash. Falling to the floor, Vent landed on one knee, taking a moment to catch his breath. "H-holy..."

"Vent!" She yelled, diving out of the way as the massive blade came bearing down on where she'd been seconds before. "I don't think we've ever fought something this big before, period! Some of the Pseudoroids were pretty big, but this thing... I don't even know how we can damage it!" She charged up and aimed for the head, blasting it full-force; it only seemed to annoy the giant. Which was actually her intention, in this case. It'd be no good letting it make a follow-up attack on Vent while he was winded.

As she leapt over its swinging fist, barely missing it, Model X chimed in. Aile, at this rate you'll both exhaust yourselves before you can even hinder its attacks. You need to focus entirely on evasion and concentrating your firepower on a single, critical area. Vent, do you see the black part of its torso? That should be its weak point. Attack the narrow part of its waist. Model Z, do you concur?
